Privacy

No cookies, no tracking, no accounts.

What this site collects, which is almost nothing, and the two places where almost nothing is not quite nothing.

The short version

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics. It has no accounts, no forms, and no JavaScript. We do not know who you are, we are not trying to find out, and we have nothing to sell you.

The rest of this page explains the two places where that is not quite the whole story.

What the server records

Like every web server, ours writes a line to a log each time a page is requested. That line contains your IP address, the time, the page, the browser and operating system your browser reports, and the page you came from if your browser sent one.

We use those logs for two things only: keeping the site running, and spotting abuse such as scraping or attacks. We do not build profiles from them, we do not combine them with anything else, and we do not share them. The server keeps 14 days of them and deletes the rest, which is the rotation the host is actually configured for.

An IP address can identify you indirectly, which is why we are telling you about it.

The one third party

The site loads its two typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of it. Google states it does not use those requests to build advertising profiles, but the request is real and you should know it happens.

Nothing else on the site is external. Links to studies point at PubMed, run by the United States National Library of Medicine, but your browser only contacts PubMed if you click one. Following a link takes you to their site and their privacy policy.

Your rights

Because we hold no account data, there is usually nothing to give you, correct, or delete. If you believe our server logs contain your data and you want a copy or its deletion, write to hello@supplementiq.app and we will answer within 30 days.

We are based in Ontario, Canada, so Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) applies to us. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, and objection, and a right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you similar rights. We do not sell personal information, and we never have.

Our lawful basis for keeping server logs is legitimate interest in operating and defending the site.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone. If you believe a child’s data has ended up in our logs, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we ever add analytics, advertising, or anything else that collects data, this page changes before that goes live, and the date below changes with it.
